OEE Consulting and friends tee off at charity golf day

Please note this article was published before OEE Consulting and gobeyond joined forces to become Gobeyond Partners.
Last Friday we held our annual charity golf day, raising over £1,700 for Muscular Dystrophy UK.
Fifty guests from our clients and partner organisations joined us at Blackwell Golf Course for the day.
After breakfast and a short game clinic, our golfers took on the 18 hole course in four ball groups.
At the ninth tee, we collected donations which were matched by OEE Consulting with a further donation of £50 for every shot from the tee which hit the green.
With cash donations on the day totalling £515, matched with a £1,200 contribution from OEE Consulting, we have donated £1,715 to Muscular Dystrophy UK from this event.
Muscular Dystrophy UK is a charity for the 70,000 people living with muscle-wasting conditions in the UK. Our donation will fund 10 days of research into slowing the progression of Duchenne muscular dystrophy, through utrophin upregulation.
Stuart Murray from Muscular Dystrophy UK joined us for the day: “We’re incredibly grateful to be chosen as OEE Consulting’s charity golf day partner this year and to all those that took part and gave generously. To fund two weeks of research in one afternoon will help us transform the lives of children and adults who are affected by muscle-wasting conditions, and is exactly the sort of activity we need to tackle Muscular Dystrophy.”
Mark Palmer, MD of OEE Consulting, said: “The weather was kind to us this year, sadly leaving no excuses for my dismal results on the green. It was certainly no reflection on the beautiful course at Blackwell Golf Club, one of the UK’s top courses, where we enjoyed a warm welcome. I’m delighted we were able to support Muscular Dystrophy UK through the day; thank you to all who joined and gave generously.”
