Service Excellence Network | 2016 in review

Please note this article was published before OEE Consulting and gobeyond joined forces to become Gobeyond Partners.
The 2016 events schedule
It’s been another busy year for the Service Excellence Network. Following the rebrand from the Lean Service Forum, members have been in the RAF’s Chinook helicopters, explored mass customisation at the world-famous BMW MINI plant, and enjoyed a live demonstration of eye-tracking software in the Atos CX lab.
As well as the quarterly events, the end of the year saw a fantastically well attended conference. November saw our network members enjoy two free places each at The Future of Service 2016, amongst an audience of over 200 people.
Highlights of the day included Kevin Green (CEO, REC), Stephen Ingledew (former MD, Marketing at Standard Life), and an extremely memorable and entertaining talk from Rory Sutherland (Vice-Chairman, Ogilvy & Mather Group UK).
After last year I left thinking to myself “how will they ever top that?”…and you did!

New members
We have seen several new joiners in 2016, and would like to welcome on board The BBC, Atos, Clydesdale Bank, Willis Towers Watson and Shoosmiths.
So what does 2017 hold?
2017 will see a review and improvement of the Network structure and content. It will also be the first year where a Network steering group will be in place, to receive further and ongoing input from members.
The first event of 2017 will be held at P&O Ferries in late March. Arrangements for the June and September events are being made with Loughborough University, and a leading insurance broker.
We will be returning to the King’s Fund on 9th November for The Future of Service 2017.
In all, we hope that this coming year will further cement the Service Excellence Network’s position as the leading forum for improvement, operations, and customer experience professionals in the service industry.
