The back office of the future, for charity

Please note this article was published before OEE Consulting and gobeyond joined forces to become Gobeyond Partners.
OEE Consulting is working with the charity Action for Children to develop their back office of the future.
Action for Children provide services for disadvantaged children across the UK. With 7,000 staff and volunteers they operate over 552 services, improving the lives of over 300,000 children, young people, families and carers every year.
The charity has ambitious plans for its future. With falling income from local authorities following significant cuts to public spending, Action for Children are redesigning their systems, processes and structures. This will improve efficiency, save costs and deliver even better quality services.
It will ensure the charity can continue to support children across the UK, both now and in the future.
We are providing our expertise in building effective operations to design an operating model that has the flexibility to deliver the future needs of the charity.
We will work in partnership with Action for Children, upskilling and coaching their team where necessary so we can co-design and deliver the new model.
Carol Iddon, Managing Director of Children’s Services said:
“As Action for Children evolves, we want to ensure that our back office systems and processes continue to provide the best support to our services, in a smooth and seamless way.
“The needs of the children and families we work with are central to everything we do, and by working with OEE Consulting we will be developing a back office that is fit-for-purpose now and in the future.”
Mark Palmer, Managing Director of OEE Consulting said:
“Our approach to operating model redesign is collaborative. We work with our clients to optimise their operations and use of technology to make sure that they deliver their own strategic priorities, customer needs and financial targets. It’s a proven approach that has been adopted by over fifty different organisations and continues to grow. I’m delighted we can support Action for Children with this important work.”
By running a more efficient operation, Action for Children will be able to devote more attention to their cause: ensuring that any child that needs help, gets help.
