We understand the tremendous pressure hospitals and health systems are under to thrive in a rapidly changing market
New core skills need to be established. Costs needs to be reduced. Key operational, clinical and governance function needs to be evaluated. Health executives are also being increasingly tasked with reducing utilisation through standardisation and managing care variations. This has led to many institutions realising that operational efficiency is essential in achieving greater day-to-day stability.
Challenge accepted
Using our sector expertise we help stakeholders identify ways to optimise staffing, improve supply chain efficiency and drive waste out of the system. Key to achieving this is supporting healthcare providers in shifting their existing operating model to one that can handle variations in care and align clinicians around patient-centred care. In addition, we are supporting the industry move towards ‘everywhere care’ such as retail clinics, telehealth and medical tourism.
The results are in
Using Lean best practice we have reduced demand caused by failures in the system and improved invoice timeliness and accuracy. We have also significantly reduced attrition through effective scheduling, operational management and payroll accuracy. This has led to a substantial improvement in both patient and commissioning group satisfaction rates and has helped drive sales growth. By providing Lean training and accreditation for employees and senior management we have also ensured these improvements can be sustained. Our work for Allied Healthcare has seen an extremely successful operating model redesign, whilst we have also realising £512k benefits for another domiciliary care provider.
