Gobeyond Partners smash 2021 fundraising target

As we enter 2022 it’s a perfect time to reflect on some of the great fundraising achievements throughout 2021. We’ve been working with Guide Dogs, our 2021 charity partner towards a goal to raise £30,000, a goal which was achieved last month.
Colleagues hit the ground running early in the year and pushed themselves to the limit in various activities such as:
In early May, we took part in Walk Your Socks Off, the charity week of walking. The target was to achieve 1,000,000 steps in a week.
Everyone set their own individual step target and between us we managed to walk over 1.1 million steps – the equivalent of walking from London to Turin!
We raised a total of £517 for Guide Dogs.

The Conqueror was a ‘pick your own adventure’ challenge, which took place across the June. Participants picked a virtual distance-based challenge that was equivalent to one of the world’s greatest journeys, such as swimming the English Channel or climbing Kilimanjaro or Mount Everest.
Our target was 962 miles , and we are proud to say we achieved this whilst raising over £600 for the charity.

Most recently, Judith Coole, job title here at Gobeyond Partners, completed the London Marathon on Sunday 3rd October in under 5 hours, clocking in at a hugely impressive 4h 53m 38 seconds. As part of her fundraising, Judith also held a Guess my Time Competition, which raised £155, bringing her overall total to £2,572.22
These are just some examples of our people’s efforts and show their determination to achieve our goal. As a result of this hard work, we smashed our target and raised an incredible £35,225.21 for Guide Dogs.

“We are very grateful for Gobeyond Partner’s support during the last year. This support during the pandemic has been vital to ensure we can continue to assist those living with sight loss.”
Selina Fairclough, Acting National Corporate Partnerships Manager, Guide Dogs
We’re proud to have such a dedicated team who went out of their way to help us make this difference. Find out how our contribution will make an impact here.
As our partnership with Guide Dogs has ended, we asked colleagues to nominate charities we could partner with next year, which garnered 10 charities to choose from. The final result was very tight, with only 2 votes separating the leading charities, and we’re delighted to announce the winner is Brain Tumour Research. We’re excited for another successful year of fundraising in 2022 – stay tuned for updates on our progress!
“ I feel privileged to work with such a motivated team. It is a particularly proud moment for me to share that we smashed our target for 2021 and I’m confident we will do the same for Brain Tumour Research in 2022. I look forward to our next fundraising journey.”
