The Conqueror Challenge
Reading Time 2 mins
Gobeyond Partners colleagues volunteer for an intense adventure challenge to raise vital funds for our charity partner.
At Gobeyond Partners, we are working hard to raise money for our chosen charity partner, Guide Dogs for the blind. Our donation target for the year is £10,000 and by organising and taking part in various initiatives throughout 2021, we have raised almost £5,500 so far.
In May we walked our socks off, raising over £500 to add to our donation target. Most recently, colleagues took on The Conqueror challenge.

The Conqueror was a ‘pick your own adventure’ challenge, which took place across the whole month of June. Participants picked a virtual challenge from the website and the distance was equivalent to one of the world’s greatest journeys, such as swimming the English Channel, climbing Kilimanjaro or Mount Everest.
The challenge had to be completed by the end of June and participants picked different activities to achieve this including walking, running and cycling. Progress was tracked on The Conqueror app and participants received updates via virtual postcards on where they were at that point in the journey.
Seven of our Colleagues took part and picked challenges including:
- Hadrian’s Wall (90 miles)
- Mount Fiji (46 miles)
- Great Ocean Road (149 miles)
- Cabot Trail (185 miles)
- St Francis Way (312 miles).
Our target was 962 miles altogether, and we are proud to say we achieved this whilst raising over £600 for the charity. As a reward, participants received a medal for their efforts and for each entry, 5 trees will be planted by the organisation.
“The Conqueror challenge was a lot of fun and helped us to get out of our comfort zones and virtually take on some of the world’s great journeys whilst raising money for a fantastic cause!”
Jim Ferris, Principal Consultant at Gobeyond Partners

Over the next few months, we have more activities planned to raise funds for this amazing cause. If you’d like to make a donation, the link can be found here.
