Making a change in our communities with Trussell Trust

This year’s fundraising collaboration with the Trussell Trust was another one for the books. Gobeyond Partners successfully surpassed our initial targets of £5000 and 1,095 meals on monetary and food donations. We are delighted to announce that we raised £5,191 and 1,471 meals amounting to 588kg of food and other items such as nappies.
These achievements would not have been possible without the amazing teamwork from everyone at the organisation. Our colleagues put a lot of time and effort into doing their part in helping low-income communities and making a change to end the need for emergency food.
The Trussell Trust is known for its network of food banks across the UK providing parcels and assistance to people who need them, whilst campaigning to end food poverty and the need for food banks. The team set themselves an even greater challenge by extending the fundraising target with an additional pillar - volunteer hours. Together, we helped Trussell Trust in a diverse range of activities, from handing out food parcels to sharing their social media expertise and ringing the bell at local supermarkets. We are extremely proud to have logged 77+ hours across the UK, making a difference to over a thousand families in need. They also had the opportunity to meet new friends in our local communities from all walks of life.
Some team members have been volunteering at the Ealing Foodbank, and Brianna L’Hostis, Easling Foodbank Deputy Manager – volunteering, commented on our participation:
“Since 1 Jan 2023, we have provided three days of nutritionally balanced food to over 43,000 people, our busiest year ever. We're so grateful for the generosity of our volunteers and everyone who has donated food, money and other essentials to Ealing Foodbank. Life has been difficult for so many of our neighbours and we're incredibly thankful that we're able to continue to serve them.”
Additionally, the team participated in a number of additional activities throughout the year to reach our monetary targets. This included including Andy’s Bungee Jump, Mark’s Sky diving, an online pub quiz, Race for Hunger, a Poker Night, and Karaoke Night. From these activities alone, we successfully raised £3,037.
Hervé Mazenod, Head of UK&I and Nordics at Gobeyond Partners, said: “I am delighted to see the commitment and efforts our team put to achieve these amazing results. As an organisation that believes in the significance of giving back, it was only right to help those less fortunate in our communities. Food poverty is a growing issue and we felt passionately about supporting the Trussell Trust and getting food to the people who need it the most. We’re looking forward to revealing who our charity partner for 2024 will be very soon.”
