Say hello to Tracy Rea
Consulting Director

The early days of Tracy’s career were grounded within high performance sport, having previously been employed as Performance Director of Scottish Gymnastics in the lead up to the 2014 Glasgow: Commonwealth Games, as well as competing internationally herself. Tracy’s PhD examines the concept of talent transfer for athletes who can medal internationally in two sports. Tracy wanted to prove this hypothesis herself by moving across sectors and roles.
Therefore Tracy joined Lloyds Banking Group as Head of Business Operations within IT and then moved into Group Transformation where she was part of the Agile Centre of Excellence that supported 18,000 colleagues to merge from 3 divisions to one brand new area of the bank. Using a data led approach to measuring agile principles and practices was fed back to the board on a quarterly basis to ensure OKRs were being met. Additionally reporting to the board on measuring culture (utilising the Competing Values Framework) on a quarterly basis to evidence trajectory of progress.
Tracy held the role of European HR Director at Laing O’Rourke within construction for over two years, during the challenging time of the pandemic supporting the building of 4 of the 5 main hospitals across the UK. This necessitated some significant workforce planning to ensure certainty of delivery, as well as supporting the business to transform preceding a potential IPO, and removing over 20% headcount out of the function to reduce overhead costs. Tracy supported the business to deliver against its strategic target of £4bn turnover, where Tracy was accountable for the People Strategy and a number of new initiatives to deliver against this output through using data analytics and new ways of working. Tracy’s specialism focusses on transformation and growth.
Tracy also holds the role of Chair of the Board for Parkour UK. It is anticipated that parkour may be an Olympic Sport for the 2032 Games (Brisbane) and therefore it is a critical time to lead the sport whilst preparing the governing body for this opportunity.
She has a Bachelors degree in Physical Education and Psychology from York St John University, a Masters in Sport and Exercise Psychology from Loughborough University and has a PhD in Talent Transfer from The University of Stirling.
Tracy has an infectious energy which is both compelling and challenging. Her energy seems to stem from both a strong sense of purpose and being highly values driven, as well as a genuine satisfaction in seeing colleagues grow and finding solutions to complex problems. Feedback from other executives working with Tracy include: “Tracy demonstrates an immense energy, and the ability to be across, process and assimilate information and to provide clear direction for long term change. She is skilful in bringing a disciplined, collaborative and transparent approach to the way her team operates to create clarity on the plan and to give confidence in setting milestones for delivery.”
Tracy has an 11 year old daughter who loves to code. And enjoys spending time having as many life adventures as time will permit.
